The emotions Clara goes through are perfectly what I would expect I would go through. Especially if I found out I was a powerful witch when they were being murdered for existing. The pain she goes through during the fever & when she is burned must have been horrible! I really connected with her. I would have done anything to get away from her family & that jerk Winston. Albacus is quite different in this series. I started with another series before learning what order to read these books. Be sure to check you are reading the right books first.
