Guardian of Magick by Jessica Wayne

This was a great sequel to Warrior of Magick. Same great characters, same great snarkiness, the awkwardness is still there between some & chemistry there for others. They have to again heal Sienna. They learn a lot more secrets that threaten to blow Daxon & Lawson's minds. And there are finally a lot of steamy scenes between Daxon & Sienna. They learn just how deep the corruption goes. They weed out the person responsible for the wrong Intel on Daxon. Even the werewolves have a traitor. And you'll never guess who it is! Deceit lies and so much bloodshed. The ending is shocking. So brace yourself. It should make the next book very awkward!

Secrets and Alchemy by Linsey Hall

So we finally get to learn all the juicy secrets our beloved, reliable potions master has. And believe me there are a lot! He even kept them from his sister. I must say Sora is not someone I would have seen as a romantic interest for him. Of course, Conner is a sucker for a lady in distress. Not that that is a bad thing. I love protective men! Sora happens into Conner's life at the perfect time. Claire is with her mate & Conner is feeling lonely. Let's face it they were together the two of them against the world for so long. Potions & Pastilles probably feels so weird without her there. Anyway I feel bad for Sora, because of a curse everyone treated her different. Her magic doesn't work right now. She had no friends or family left. What a lonely life! Thank God she met Conner, to show her that home is where friends are. Home is not just a place you live. I love the Guild City that Linsey created in this book. It is so different from the Protectorate, Magic's Bend and Darklane. Linsey Hall would you please write at least one more book about Conner & Sora. I feel like their love story isn't complete! We need to see Conner learning his new powers. Sora trying to concentrate and bring something back from the void. She needs to practice to build up her stamina. I would love to see her getting to know everyone & then them all going on an adventure together. Most importantly I want to see this love story between Conner & Sora unfold. Conner deserves it!

Dark Fae by Quinn Blackbird

This was a great start to a new series. Very apocalypse oriented. I like these type stories anything fae or dark times. This was right up my alley. The story of a young girl named Vale who is traveling with a group of humans trying to survive. They have survived wars, disease, & the dark fae so far. They live by scavenging for what they need & moving as much as possible. The dark fae are trying to kill all the humans

The Curse of Time by Andreea Pryde

This story was so unique & unlike any paranormal/psychic book I have ever read. Very original idea. It is refreshing to read something different than what everyone else writes in a genre. The idea of time travel fascinates everyone. A cursed watch that lets you live longer, but corrupts because someone always wants that power. Scarlett is a young woman with a job of restoring occult, witch artifacts, objects the gods used. She thinks they are all fake, used to trick people. She took the job because of the money & benefits. However when strange things start to happen, she can't deny there is more to it. She also learns she has the ability to travel in her dreams. I will leave there so I don't ruin the incredible ending. Good read.

The Resurrection of Us by Rachel M Raithby

Be prepared you won't be able to put this book down. It sucks you into a reality that is so farfetched for most of us it seems like an alternate universe. The level of wealth these characters have most of us will never dream of. You will not see the conniving and backstabbing that goes on in this book until it hits you! A certain someone gets everything that karma had been holding back for him, in one glorious book. As we learned in the last book wearing the crown comes with a price. See how the power of love transformers a group of people who need healing after the destruction. Here is my favorite quote from this book: "when you hit the point of no return… when everything you are is stripped away, the view suddenly becomes clearer."
